The Church: Alive to Thrive

Gathering from different areas within ANE District, representing ethnically and culturally diverse congregations, we will worship,fellowship, and share testimonies about The Church: Alive To Thrive. 
La Iglesia: viva para prosperar Encuentro de congregaciones desde diferentes lugares dentro del Distrito ANE, representando la diversidad Étnica y Cultural, adoraremos, compartiremos y proporcionaremos testimonios sobre la Iglesia: Vivo Para Prosperar.

Join us in this inspirational time of connection and relationship building with the expectation to learn and return to your own congregation with renewed excitement about how God is working among us!  ¡Únase a nosotros en este tiempo inspirador de conexión y construcción de relaciones con la expectativa de aprender y regresar a su propia congregación con entusiasmo renovado sobre cómo Dios está trabajando entre nosotros!

• What is keeping your church alive?  ¿Qué mantiene viva a su iglesia?
• How does your church thrive? ¿Cómo prospera su iglesia?
• How does your church call out the gifts of persons in your midst? ¿Cómo llama su iglesia a los dones de las personas entre ustedes?
• How are leaders called out within your church? ¿Cómo se llama a los líderes dentro de su iglesia?

In our morning session, we will hear  encouraging testimonies shared by representatives from a variety of ANE churches who will answer the question:  What is keeping you and your church alive and thriving?  En nuestra Seccion Matutina, escucharemos testimonios motivadores compartidos por representantes de una variedad de iglesias del Distrito ANE quienes contestarán la pregunta:  ¿Qué le mantiene a usted y a su iglesia vivos y prosperando?

In an afternoon breakout session, all participants will be invited to share their own stories of being alive and thriving in their faith journeys.  En una sesión de trabajo por la tarde, los participantes seran invitados a compartir sus propias historias de estar vivos y prosperar en su jornada de Fe.

Lexi Aligarbes:

Lexi Aligarbes (she/her) is a Co-Pastor at Harrisburg First Church of the Brethren.  Originally from New Mexico, Lexi has recently relocated to serve with her congregation in the neighborhood of South Allison Hill, in Harrisburg, PA. She holds an MDiv. from Princeton Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Peace and Global Studies from Earlham College. Her vocational journey has allowed her to serve in places such as Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Trenton. Lexi is excited to have answered a call within the Church of the Brethren and to be joining the Atlantic Northeast District. She is passionate about cultivating spiritual disciplines for social action and celebrating the richness found in urban ministry. When she's not at church you can find Lexi on the tennis court, hiking a new trail, or salsa dancing with friends. 

Lexi Aligarbes (ella/ella) es co-pastora en la Primera Iglesia de los Hermanos de Harrisburg. Originaria de Nuevo México,
Lexi se mudó recientemente para servir con su congregación en el vecindario de South Allison Hill, en Harrisburg, PA. Ella tiene un MDiv. del Seminario Teológico de Princeton y un B.A. en Paz y Estudios Globales de Earlham College. Su jornada vocacional le ha permitido servir en lugares como Filadelfia, Atlanta y Trenton. Lexi está emocionada de haber respondido a un llamado dentro de la Iglesia de los Hermanos y de unirse al Distrito Atlántico Noreste. Le apasiona cultivar disciplinas espirituales para la acción social y celebrar la riqueza que se encuentra en el
ministerio urbano. Cuando no está en la iglesia, puedes encontrar a Lexi en la cancha de tenis, caminando por un nuevo sendero o bailando salsa con amigos.
