Total Solution Approach for Custom Flat Glass Fabrication & Precision Optical Coatings

The combined and synergistic capabilities of Abrisa Technologies' two business units Abrisa Industrial Glass (AIG), and ZC&R Coatings for Optics (ZC&R) have over 80 years of combined design and manufacturing expertise in the field of precision glass optics.

of float and specialty glasses in mm to meter sizes, CNC machining, waterjet cutting, grinding, drilling, grooving, dicing, and edging. Specializing in ultra-thin glass boro and aluminosilicates of less than 0.1 mm, custom fabrication for shape and features, high ion-exchange (HIE™) chemical strengthening or heat strengthening of flat glass for damage resistance, screen printing; surface and edge (frit or epoxy/polyester) for branding, electrical conductivity (bus bars), and displays, and sandblasting, value-added options such as wire soldering, laser marking/etching, application of protective and aesthetic films, tapes, and gaskets.
ZC&R Products/Services: Precision thin film PVD ION assisted deposition (IAD) coatings for filtering, throughput reflection and conductivity. Custom and standard designs from 200 nm in the UV up to 20 microns in the far Infrared with thicknesses of a few angstroms to 10’s of microns. Broad range of coatings include transparent conductive Indium tin oxide (ITO) and Index-Matched IMITO, anti-reflective (AR) such as, broadband, non-glare (NG) infrared (IR), laser line and v-coat, near infrared (NIR) visible (VIS), and wide-angle. Mirror and metallic coatings such as hot and cold mirrors, dark mirrors, ultra-thin and semi-transparent mirrors. Filters include neutral density, bandpass and notch, color correction and temperature, blackeye, covert, and semi-covert, IR filters, longwave Pass (LWP) and shortwave pass (SWP) edge filters, UV blocking and transmitting filters, and RGB and CMYK filters. Additional specialty coatings include, anti-fingerprint, anti-fog, anti-abrasion, autoclaveable, bio/chemical compatible, and oleo/hydrophobic coatings.

ClearView™ projection port window glass is fabricated using an optically clear, colorless glass with a 2-sided, multi-layer broadband anti-reflective coating, increasing transmissivity thereby ensuring a high quality, bright and sharp screen image.

Transmission rate is between 98% and 99%. Optical performance is the key factor in selecting a projection port window and ClearView™ has the essential optical qualities for eye popping clarity on screen.

Standard thicknesses offered include: 3mm, 6mm, 10mm and 12mm.

Typical Lead Time is 1 Week from Order Placement
Broadest Selection of SCHOTT D 263®T eco in North America

Abrisa Technologies can supply
16 thickness options ranging from 0.03 mm to 1.1 mm. Sheet size: 440 mm x 360 mm for thicknesses of ≤ 0.21 mm and 510 mm x 430 mm for thicknesses > 0.21 mm.

SCHOTT D 263® T eco is a colorless, low auto-fluorescence borosilicate glass with excellent transmission in the UV to NIR range.

The glass is lightweight, ultra-thin, and has excellent thermal stability, making D 263® T eco ideal for
use in low profile displays, miniature systems, ultra-light applications, bioimaging, mobility, electro-optics, & compact sensing applications. The fire-polished surface has a thickness tolerance of ±10 microns.
Now Available Larger Format Chemical Strengthening

Abrisa Technologies' AIG division now provides High Ion-Exchange (HIE™) Chemical Strengthening (C-Temp) processing for a broad range of their technology and float glass materials in larger sizes up to 46” x 29” with a diagonal dimension as large as 54” at
≥ 0.8mm thicknesses.

AIG can HIE™ C-Temp glass as small as 0.5” x 0.5” and as thin as 0.1” and as thick as 2.0” at this new larger dimension.

HIE™ C-Temp Advantages:
  • Improved impact Resistance
  • Improved flexibility strength
  • Improved scratch resistance
  • Improved resistance to temperature changes
