The Children's Trust is thrilled to announce the launch of our new website, designed to provide a richer and more dynamic experience for both parents and partners like you! CLEAR and HEAL Leadership Programs Accepting Applications *

CLEAR : Climate Justice Program

The 10-week CLEAR program provides participants with the groundwork to become climate justice educators, leaders, and innovators in their own communities and beyond. Participants will develop a deep and intersectional understanding of climate science, local climate change threats, and solutions. The goal of the program is for participants to:


  • understand what climate change is and how it impacts folks in Miami and beyond while learning the history of the environmental justice and climate justice movements in the US
  • learn strategies for building climate resilience in Miami-Dade County
  • explore the intersections of climate, health, and housing
  • develop their skills in framing the issue, public speaking, writing, and community organizing;
  • understand the role of different non-profit and political bodies in local climate resilience advocacy work;
  • identify their interests, strengths, and passions as grassroots climate justice leaders.

HEAL : Housing Justice Program

The 10-week HEAL program provides participants with the groundwork to become housing justice educators, leaders, and innovators in their own communities and beyond. Participants will develop a deep and intersectional understanding of Miami’s housing crisis, local housing crisis threats, and solutions. The goal of the program is for participants to:

  • understand what the housing crisis is and how it impacts folks in Miami and beyond while learning the history of housing injustice and affordable housing advocacy in the US
  • learn strategies for building affordable housing in Miami-Dade County explore the intersections of housing, health and climate
  • develop their skills in framing the issue, public speaking, writing, and community organizing;
  • understand the role of different non-profit and political bodies in local climate resilience advocacy work;
  • identify their interests, strengths, and passions as grassroots housing justice leaders.

Kids Run Miami - The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half *

The 20th year of the Kids Run Miami Program is here and organizers hope to welcome you and your students to be a part of the action! The Life Time Kids Run Miami program is a FREE youth running program that encourages Miami-Dade County middle school students, ages 6-13, to run 25.2 miles over 16 weeks, culminating at the Life Time Miami Marathon & Half presented by FP Movement on February 2, with the Final Mile event where participants will earn their medal!

The purpose of this program is to support university-based research institutes, schools, and centers in building sustained research-practice partnerships with public agencies or nonprofit organizations in order to reduce inequality in youth outcomes. Eligibility is limited to tax-exempt organizations. Eligible organizations include university-based research institutes, schools, or centers. Award Ceiling: $650,000.

This program encourages applicants to present novel strategies, technologies or partnerships that have the potential to disrupt systemic barriers for underserved entrepreneurs with the goal of cultivating a more inclusive and supportive entrepreneurial landscape across North America. Program Manager- $61,565.02 Annual

The position manages the full life cycle of assigned funded program(s) and services located throughout Miami-Dade County. This person requires occasional non-traditional work hours (weekends and evenings) and reliable transportation. This professional position will support the Programs Management Team in implementing strategies that foster collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered in accordance with The Children’s Trust standards and latest evidence-based practices. S/he is responsible for utilizing change management, knowledge, skills, and behaviors to promote continuous quality improvement throughout the assigned contracts and projects. This person will be assigned a caseload of contracts and may serve as initiative/project lead. Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Therapist *

Advocacy Network on Disabilities is seeking a compassionate and skilled Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Therapist to join its clinical team. The ideal candidate will have specialized training and experience in providing trauma-focused therapy to children, adolescents, and their families.
