A Message from Our VP of Student Life and Mission | |
To The Carondelet Community,
This week marks the last week with the wonderful Class of 2023! We are so proud of this class and all of our students’ many accomplishments. Though many of them will be finishing up AP tests and completing final projects and assessments in their classes, they will end the week with a balloon drop and Senior Sunset at the CAC.
There are several other events on campus and in the community this week as we approach the end of the year. Our spring sports teams are beginning playoff competitions. On Monday, golf enthusiasts will compete in our 33rd annual Cougar Classic golf tournament at Round Hill Country Club. On campus, Thursday in the Amp the Asian Pacific Islander Club, Asian Food Appreciation Club, and the DEI Council are putting on a lunchtime activity with food sales, music, and dance to celebrate the Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month. On Thursday night from 6-8 PM in the Jean Hofmann Center for Innovation, Dr. Hutches Scientific Research students are presenting their projects at our first Science Symposium. Come out and see all the impressive work!
It’s also Faculty/Staff Appreciation Week! We are so thankful to all the teachers and staff who give so much of their time and talents in support of our mission to nurture our students in becoming young women of Heart, Faith, Courage, and Excellence.
Blessings,
Jen Reinwald
Vice Principal of Student Life and Mission

Attendance & Final Exams
Students are expected to attend class for their final exams at the end of the semester. There are no make-up exam options for semester two. Please plan any unexcused absences around these important dates. Students who are unexpectedly ill must proactively communicate with each of their teachers to ensure that they are able to close out the semester appropriately. All students are responsible for all coursework, including final exams, projects, and presentations.
Garaventa Closed for Testing, Epicurean Cafe Open
The Garaventa Center will be closed May 1 - 10 for AP Testing. Epicurean Cafe will continue with regular service out of the back of the Garaventa Center. Students interested in purchasing food will enter the cafe through the back doors off of Winton Drive.
Vape Detectors Installed
To help keep our campus drug-free, we have installed vape detectors in our student restrooms. Students in the restroom during a vape alert are subject to a search and students caught vaping will be subject to disciplinary action. In both instances, parents/guardians will be notified. Questions? Contact Caitlin Main ‘05, Dean of Students.
Yearbook Distribution
All Carondelet students receive a copy of the yearbook as part of their tuition. Yearbooks will be distributed to seniors in good standing on May 16 at the end of Senior Breakfast and all other students in good standing after school on May 17. All students must be in good standing with the Library, Student Life, Athletics, and Finance to receive their yearbook. Students who are unable to pick up their yearbook or are missing a prior year should see Michelle Koski '98 in the Library for their copy.

Dress Drive Success
Over the month of April, Carondelet's Green Team held a dress drive to benefit the Princess Project. The Princess Project is a local organization that provides new or gently used formal dresses to girls who otherwise couldn't afford them. They were able to collect over 30 dresses from our community. Great job Green Team!
