Mike Pavlis
Advisor - Odyssey Team
I was a member of B3 for three years in high school. I worked on projects in Costa Rica, Ecuador and Guatemala from 2006-’08.I graduated from Greens Farms Academy and graduated from Boston College in 2011 with a degree in history and film studies. For the past 10 years, I have worked at Brooklyn East Collegiate, a charter school in Prospect Heights serving students in grades 5-8, and for the past 15 years I have taught summer school in Bridgeport, through a GFA program called Horizons. During my free time, I enjoy listening to music, reading the newspaper, watching movies and I am an ardent college basketball fan. I am thrilled to be back with B3 and I’m excited to get to know all of the students of the Odyssey Team. This will my eleventh trip with Builders Beyond Borders.

Ayelet Gat
Advisor - Estrellon Team
I have been a part of Builders Beyond Borders since 2008! I started B3 as a freshman in high school on the April Riggio trip, later known as Team Rock-It. My senior year on the team, I was the advisory board team representative and a student advisor. I went off to Lehigh University and stayed involved in volunteer activities while there but always knew I wanted to return to B3. As soon as I graduated, I made sure to apply to be an advisor, and am so happy I did. This will be my 6th trip as an advisor and my 5th year on team Estrellon! I have been to Guatemala a few times now and love being able to see different parts of the country each trip there. I am very excited to finally be able to travel again and cannot wait for this year!

Linleigh Smith
Advisor - Rock-It! Team
I am ecstatic to bring B3 back into my life again this year on Rock-It! I was a member of B3 as a student from 2001 to 2003 where I traveled to Cuba, Chile, and Costa Rica. The experience was life changing. Fast-forward seventeen years, now I live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn where I work for an interior designer in Manhattan and also bartend on the weekends. In 2013, I joined my father as an advisor on the C-4 team. I LOVE to document each moment as the days move so quickly, I look forward to everyone's help collaborating with this undertaking.

Drew Martin
Advisor - Equipo Esperanza Team
An alumnus of the B3 organization, I was a part of the original Equipo Cambio team before graduating from GFA in 2014. I then went on to study chemical engineering at Villanova University where I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity during my spring breaks—two as a participant and another as a leader. Now, I am living in Boston and working as a product manager for a tech company, PTC. In my free time I love doing anything outside, particularly running, hiking, or skiing if it is wintertime.
