IN-PERSON WORSHIP

This Sunday's worship services will be held inside in our sanctuary at 9am and 11am. Masks are required for all attendants age 3 and up regardless of vaccination status. Hand sanitizer will be available and encouraged upon entrance and the chairs will be in socially-distanced groups.

ONLINE WORSHIP

You can join us virtually via our live-streamed services at 9am and 11am on YouTube, or watch the service later, beginning on Sunday afternoon.

This Worship Resource Page serves as a companion to the online worship service and includes song lyrics and sermon scripture.

Kindergarten - Grade 5: Class is available during both services. Children in this age group will begin in the sanctuary for worship with their parent/guardian and will be dismissed after the Pastoral Prayer.

Grades 6-12: All youth will begin in the sanctuary for worship with their parent/guardian and will be dismissed after the Pastoral Prayer.
CIRCLE OF SUPPORT LUNCHEON

In Ecclesiastes, it says that there is a time to weep and a time to laugh - a time to mourn and a time to dance. We are hosting a luncheon for people who have experienced the loss of a loved one and are still working through the grief process. We are here to support you, so join us as we explore ways to journey together on March 13 at 1 pm in the CE Room. Click here to register and contact Pastor Carmen with questions.
NEXT STEPS PLANS & PRIORITIES MEETING

We will be having a congregational Next Steps meeting (in-person and on Zoom) on Sunday, March 13 at 6pm. During this time, we will be discussing our plans and priorities for the year and ways to get involved. If you need childcare for kids 1 year old through Grade 5, please sign up here. There will be no childcare if no one signs up, so please take note of this important step.
MY COINS COUNT

We will be collecting again for My Coins Count to benefit Mennonite Central Committee projects. You can bring your coins to the church, send in a check marked MyCC, or donate online here. All money needs to be received by March 27. Contact Pastor Patty with questions!

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE

Join us as we gather for a service of reflection and repentance on Wednesday, March 2 at 7pm in the Sanctuary. We'll also live-stream the service on our YouTube channel.

This will be a meaningful time of worship through Scripture reading, prayer and song as we enter into the season of Lent. At the end of our time together, we will participate in the Imposition of Ashes.
YOUTH HERSHEY BEARS GAME

There will be no youth group on Wednesday, March 2. Instead, youth can sign-up to attend a Hershey Bears game with us that evening. We'll be meeting at the church at 6pm and return around 9pm. Cost is $8. Please have youth eat dinner prior to coming. You may also send along cash for the vending options (no snacks will be provided to the youth by Pastor Brie). Please follow this link to sign-up to attend the game! (See Pastor Brie if the cost is a deterrent from attending.)
During 2022, the HBIC Missions Ministry Team will be highlighting a different Missionary of the Month, helping the congregation to know more about their work and inviting special prayer for them throughout the month.

For the month of February, please join in praying especially for Zach and Rosario Dalton, who serve in Bogotá, Colombia with Resourcing Christian Education International (RCE).
Zach serves at El Camino Academy (ECA) as a guidance counselor, and Rosario serves with Project MAYA, a non-profit they created to help meet practical needs like food and clothing. They are also working together in ministry as they lead Project VIDA's weekly after-school program to provide academic support and English language learning for vulnerable and at-risk students and as they mentor college students through Project Hope. Click here to access a number of specific prayer requests for the Daltons, as well as their contact info in order to send them a note of encouragement.
YOUNG ADULT LUNCH

We welcome all young adults to join us for a young adult lunch next Sunday, March 6 after 2nd service! Sign up here if you're able to come (not required).
Feel free to reach out to Pastor Brie with any questions/comments.
BASKETFUL OF BLESSINGS

Basketful of Blessings is our annual Easter Outreach. This year, it will be held on Saturday, April 15 (Note this date change!). Children in our area will receive an Easter Basket and other practical items for the family to use. In addition, this year we are bringing pre-made Easter baskets to area family shelters.

Volunteers are needed for setup on Friday, April 15 and for assisting community members at stations and clean-up on April 16.

Contact Pastor Carmen for further information or sign up here to volunteer!
SPRING COMFORTER KNOTTING DAY

Join us on Saturday, March 12 from 9am to 3pm for some comforter-knotting fun! Bring a lunch and thread-snipping scissors if you have some. If you plan to attend, sign up here or in the back of the sanctuary!
WORSHIP MINISTRY TEAM HUDDLE

If you serve in Worship Ministry in any capacity (music, choir, sound, projection, stream, dance, worship arts, etc.) OR if you're interested in volunteering, you are invited to a team huddle on Thursday, March 10 at 7pm. This is an opportunity for us to fellowship and pray with team members with whom we don't regularly serve and discuss some important business-related items. All volunteers are highly encouraged to attend! Contact Pastor Hannah with questions, if you may need child care, or if you serve but you know you are unable to make the huddle.
YOUTH AUCTION DONATIONS

It's the time of year when our youth are beginning preparations toward their summer mission trip! This year, we are traveling to Dearborn, Michigan to support and learn from their community ministry to immigrant and refugee populations! Our primary support for our mission trip comes from our annual Youth Auction. This year our auction will be Friday, April 8th and we welcome all of our congregation to consider items/services to be donated. Some favorite items historically given have been baked goods, services rendered (making a meal, babysitting, etc.) and household items. Pastor Brie will be collecting items through March 27 (for baked items or services, please let us know the intended donation by that date). Feel free to contact Pastor Brie with any questions. Thank you so much for your support as we look forward to a favorite church family event!
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

We're currently hiring to fill the part-time position of Office Administrative Assistant. Please also join us in prayer as we discern the best fit for this position for our congregation. Thank you!
