Christ Church exists to show everyone God loves them unconditionally.
We do that by EXPERIENCING, EMBRACING, AND EXTENDING
God's love.
There are several ways to give to the mission of Christ Church:
you can mail in your pledge or place in the Sunday offering,
give online, or text GIVE to (850) 403-6673.

How God Changes Your Brain
by Andrew Newberg, M.D., and Mark Robert Waldman
Sundays ~ 9:15-10:15 AM
Rm. 31 of Education Bldg. or by Zoom link here
The authors of this book have shown how prayer and meditation can change the brain. This last session will center on stories of historical figures whose brains changed and how that change affected their life journey. Finally, we will consider how God has changed the brains and hearts of modern humans and how those changes altered their lives.

Training is offered to those that are interested in leading any of our Preschool/Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade, and 3rd-5th grade classes and for those that "just want to help." We have purchased special bibles that are age-appropriate and easy to fold into your family’s life. These bibles are theirs to take home, read, and learn from over the next few years. We encourage parents to read these bible stories with your child and to let them read them on their own. In addition to receiving their bibles, second graders are also invited to be readers on Sunday morning at any service; contact Victoria to be included.

CHRIST CHURCH CHORISTERS REGISTRATION
NOW OPEN!!
Registration for the Christ Church Choristers is now open! Rehearsals are slated to begin Wednesday, August 21. Choristers will rehearse from 3:30-4:30 PM in the Choir Room. As a new program element, Christ Church will offer music instruction to interested choristers between EDS regular release and chorister rehearsal. From 2:35-3:25 PM, interested Choristers will receive instruction in basic music theory (pitch, rhythm, sight singing), musicianship, and history of sacred music and liturgy. This instruction is optional, and prospective choristers are not required to take part. Those choristers opting not to attend the Christ Church Music Class will be collected from EDS aftercare prior to the start of rehearsal (around 3:25 PM).
Christ Church Choristers is affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music, and instruction will utilize the RSCM Voice for Life® curriculum, allowing motivated choristers to achieve recognition for their musical achievements and to participate in various summer music courses around the United States. There is no cost to participate in Christ Church Choristers, and all necessary supplies are provided. Of course, donations to the Christ Church Chorister program are always very much appreciated and put to good use. The Choristers join the Parish Choir at the 10:30 AM Eucharist on the first and third Sundays of each month (beginning September 15), as well as the Christmas Eve 6:00 PM service and Easter Day 9:00 and 11:00 services. In the future, the Choristers will also join the Parish Choir for Choral Evensong and Lessons & Carols services.
The Christ Church Chorister Registration form maybe found here. Prospective Choristers may register at any time throughout the academic year. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact Dr. Jason Hobratschk, Director of Music Ministry.

ALTAR FLOWER DEDICATIONS
Each week our worship service is enhanced with beautiful fresh flowers. After the Sunday services, the altar flower arrangements are reworked into smaller arrangements. These arrangements are delivered to members of our parish family that are unable to attend a Sunday service. The altar flowers are a memorial, a thanksgiving for an anniversary, a birthday, a new birth, or a thanksgiving for God's blessings. The donation is listed in the weekly bulletin. Forms to participate in this ministry are available here and on the information table in the Parish Hall.

It is easy to feel alone or disconnected, so reach out to one of the priests or someone at the church to say hello. Contact Rev. Katie if you or anyone you know has any needs. If you have a pastoral emergency, please call our pastoral care emergency line to speak directly with one of the priests: (850) 462-5137.
