Aug 27, 2022 BDG Workshop - Growing Rhododendrons in the PNW
If you want to increase your gardening knowledge and skills, the Bellevue Demonstration Garden (BDG) Workshop series is for you! A broad range of topics covering plants and methods that work in the Pacific Northwest will be discussed. These workshops are offered to the general public and are appropriate for both beginning and experienced gardeners. Many of the workshop speakers are sought after horticulture educators by PNW gardening organizations -- several were featured at the Feb 2022 NW Flower & Garden Show in Seattle.
The speaker for this presentation is Atsuko Gibson, Nursery Manager/Assistant Curator, at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden in Federal Way. Atsuko will introduce many easy to grow species and choice hybrid rhododendrons for the PNW as well as cultivation tips to make rhododendrons thrive in your garden. Talk will include how to plant, fertilize, prune, as well as pest and disease control for this prized Washington state plant.
There is a modest fee of $5 per workshop this year. Also available is a Series subscription which gives you the option to purchase all thirteen July-Oct BDG workshops for $49, a 25% discount off the total cost. Plus.....
