Community Conversations: Civil Discourse about Education
Thursday, April 7 at 7pm
Blaming, name-calling, and petty attacks. If this sounds like a School Board meeting, we all have a problem. What is this divisive talk around education and public schools all about? How can we have discussions about what is being taught in our schools without devolving into name-calling and innuendo?
During this 90-minute workshop, learn some tips on how to engage in productive civil discourse from community member James McKim, managing partner of Organizational Ignition and president of the Manchester NAACP. Then put those tips into practice concerning education in Goffstown in a facilitated community conversation.
