Pest Management Solutions for Specialty Crops and Specialty Uses
The following is a recap of news and updates announced by The IR-4 Project during the month of March.
LATEST NEWS
New 60 Years of IR-4 Video
IR-4 HQ recently worked with NC State University Communications & Marketing to produce a short video for our homepage. The video introduces IR-4's work, why it matters, and why we're so proud to be celebrating 60 years in 2023.

We hope you enjoy watching the video, sharing it with your networks, and helping to spread the word about IR-4's impacts across the specialty crop community.

In addition to IR-4 HQ's YouTube channel, you can find the video on our homepage (scroll down a bit — it's right under the 60 Years announcement).

If you share this video on social media, please use the hashtag: #60yearsofIR4. Thanks for all you do to support IR-4's mission — and here's to another 60 years!
Joint CLC & PMC Meeting Recap
Early this month, IR-4 management and operations team members visited Washington, D.C. for IR-4’s joint Project Management Committee (PMC) and Commodity Liaison Committee (CLC) meetings.

We welcomed stakeholders and partners to a 60 Years of IR-4 Reception where we celebrated the project's longevity and impacts. The CLC and Friends of IR-4 also hosted congressional staffers for a lunch and learn. Attendees of both events got to fill IR-4 grocery bags with tasty, beautiful products provided by our CLC members.

We enjoyed spreading the word about IR-4's 60th year in our nation's capital!

Potential impacts on IR-4's work and the beekeeping industry

The protection of honey bee colonies is of vital importance to IR-4, to the beekeeping industry, and to the specialty crop growers we serve. IR-4's ability to serve the honey bee industry may be hampered by a proposed regulation change.
