THE LAUNCH OF THE FIRST VOLUME OF THE STORMWATER MANUAL LOW IMPACT DEVELOPMENT (LID) DESIGN GUIDE
Over the past two years, the City of Mobile has been implementing projects that aim to enhance the City’s stormwater program, and support interested citizens and businesses in incorporating Low Impact Development (LID) practices on their property. The first product is Volume 1 of the City of Mobile’s Stormwater Manual and consists of an LID Design Manual. This Manual serves as a roadmap for the proper application of LID design principles in the City of Mobile.
On Tuesday, October 17th from 2:00-3:30 p.m., the city will host a virtual introduction and training regarding the new LID Design Guide. This will be particularly useful for architects, planners, engineers, developers, homeowners, and interested citizens. The use of LID design will remain optional, but this guide will be a useful tool to many interested professionals working within the City of Mobile jurisdiction.
This training is free to all participants, but registration is required. To register, send an email to stormwater@cityofmobile.org, and we will provide the Zoom Meeting link and PDF of the new manual. Professional Development Hours will be offered.
