August 2024 Advising Newsletter

REMINDERS

  • If you haven't reached out to new advisees assigned during the summer, please do so at your earliest convenience. You can quickly send a welcome message by clicking on the link to the Advising Hub in the notification, checking the "Email Advisee" box for all students to which you want to send the message and then write the message. Click here for more information on E-mailing a student in the Advising Hub.
  • It would be helpful to do a graduation audit of your advisees at the start of the semester. Some of our students are not aware of how close they are to graduation! In your Advising Hub, click on the "Total Credits Earned" column heading to sort. For students who will have enough hours to graduate, inform them that they need to fill out a graduation application in their success hub by October 18. For those who are within a class or two of graduation, you might recommend they sign up for second 8 week classes.
