Dream higher than the sky

and deeper than the ocean.

~ Proverb.

Good afternoon friends,

Sitting down with my Accountability Partner Friday afternoon was a wonderful reminder of the power of setting intentions. I have been writing out a vision statement for the month for the past several months. This is one way of setting an intention for the month. As I shared with her my vision, my intention for the month I could feel the energy and excitement behind the vision. I was equally blown away by the things that were coming to fruition.

I had written my vision at the end of April, in anticipation of May. And then when I read it, it felt like a to-do list with things to check off. So I rewrote my vision with a greater focus on how I wanted to feel and what I wanted to experience. As well as what I wanted to achieve.

I then shared with her a new way of setting intentions and celebrating wins on a daily basis that I just learned and have been having so much fun with. At night, before I rest my head I write down 3 things that are a win for today, 3 things that are a win for tomorrow and what I want my subconscious to work on while I sleep. This has been a fun one. Less than a week of it and I am reminded daily of the power of setting the intentions. And today, I discovered that the one intention that I thought didn’t happen, actually had….

When we tend to our mindset and trust in the power of setting intentions, the sky's the limit!!

So why set intentions?

  • Setting intentions can help you clarify your goals and desires, making it easier to stay focused and motivated.
  • Intention-setting can increase your self-awareness and help you become more in tune with your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and help you navigate life's ups and downs with greater ease and grace.
  • Setting intentions can also help you cultivate a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the present moment, even as you work toward your future goals.
  • Intention-setting can be a valuable tool for managing stress and anxiety, as it encourages you to focus on what you can control and let go of what you can't.
  • Intention-setting can help you prioritize your time and energy, so you can focus on the things that matter most to you.

Here are some tips on how to  set intentions:

  • Reflect: Take some time to reflect on what you want to achieve in a specific area of your life, such as relationships, career, health, or personal growth.
  • Identify values: Consider your values and beliefs to determine what is most important to you.
  • Write it down: Write down your intentions in a clear and concise manner. Use positive language that is stated in the here and now,  and focus on what you want to achieve.  Not what you don't want.
  • Visualize: Visualize yourself achieving your intentions and imagine how it would feel.
  • Review: Regularly review your intentions and adjust them if necessary. Celebrate your successes and use your setbacks as learning opportunities.

Wishing you light and love,

Lisa

Leslie puts her enthusiasm, zest for life, warm personality and accepting spirit into each and every event and program, making sure that no detail is left undone. Her greatest joy in life is helping others to achieve their dreams through bold action, realize their unique qualities and encouraging them to reach for the stars.
