2024 Matchmaking Event

Matches UCSF faculty with postbacc trainees, who are eligible for an NIH Diversity Supplement, for short, 10-minute interviews. Typically, diversity supplements provide salary for trainees to work in your lab as a Junior Specialist for 1-2 years. Trainees who are hired can apply for the UCSF Postbacc PROPEL Program. Register here by Dec. 11.

Career Development Funding Opportunities

• Lustgarten Foundation-AACR Career Development Awards for Pancreatic Cancer Research in honor of Ruth Bader Ginsburg - 3-year, $300,000 grant available to female scientists engaged in pancreatic cancer research. Application due Jan. 8.

• Lustgarten Foundation-AACR Career Development Award for Pancreatic Cancer Research in honor of John Robert Lewis - 3-year, $300,000 grant available to members of racial or ethnic groups that have been shown to be underrepresented in pancreatic cancer research. Application due Jan. 8.

• AACR Clinical Oncology Research Training Fellowships - Designed to provide an industry-academic clinical practicum for academic clinicians to train in drug development. Application due Nov. 30.

• HDFCCC Junior Cancer Researcher RFA - For junior researchers who have an interest in working on high-risk, high-reward computational projects in cancer. Applications due Nov. 22

• Prostate Cancer Program Pilot Research Awards - All areas of prostate cancer research at UCSF are eligible for awards. Open to faculty, trainees, and non-faculty (i.e. specialists). Applications due Nov. 15.
