This Sunday:

"Even Greater Works!"

John 14:1-14

In-person and Live Stream to Facebook and YouTube at 10:30 AM

To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ!

Today I want to begin by sharing some very sad news. Mike Walter has been a part of our leadership team here at New Covenant for over a decade, working with the Dana and the Preschool and serving as the Preschool liaison to the Board of Ministry. We are mourning because Mike passed away near midnight this past Monday.

He met weekly with Dana in planning and monitoring the Preschool budget and he also consulted with the Board regarding budget, staffing, and other issues from the Preschool. I always asked him to interview candidates for admin positions along with us and he was always more than happy to help in any way that we needed him. In addition to that, Mike was a dear friend! We are all grieving his loss this week, but even more so, are Adam and Liz, Nick, Ben, Mary, three beloved granddaughters his brother Gary and his sister Nancy. Please keep the Walter family in your prayers as they grieve the loss of Mike.

Now in the midst of our sorrow, there are also joys. If you missed worship last Sunday, you missed an extra helping of JOY! We had a Mommy sheep and her baby, Dash. The Itty-Bitty Choir sang, and the Youth Band led worship. We had a great turnout for the early service at 9:00 and standing room only at the 10:30! Thank you for your support in making New Covenant a thriving congregation.

This Sunday, join us as we continue our celebration of Easter! We will celebrate a baptism and enjoy some fellowship after worship. Sunday School, Frolic and Confirmation will meet this coming Sunday! Our worship text will be John 14: 1-14 and the theme is “Even Greater Works!” With that theme in mind, what do you say? “Let’s get to work!”

Living in the joy of Easter!

Pastor Steve
