Message from Pastor Tim
Dear Friends and Members of the Ark and Dove Community,

We are full on in the Easter Season which could be described as the season we explore the many ways that the resurrection of Christ can open our eyes to the possibilities there are in partnering with God. I propose that the world is ripe with resurrection potential and that our role as disciples is to take note of the opportunities and help them along when we can. Some time back I came across an acquaintance that was tending his granddaughter and showering her with attention and love, gentle, genuine and kind.  I barely recognized him because in the past he had significantly neglected his children and been abusive to his spouse.  Something had changed. His demeanor, his face was tender and caring. Seriously, I was confused.  I had to run through my memory banks because this did not match up with my assumptions. Where was my faith? God is active in the world. Resurrections are sprouting up all around us. Maybe we should pray for awareness.

That’s my prayer for us, that we stay open to the divine possibilities. There is redemption because Chris has risen.

Peace of Christ,

 Tim
Verse and Prayer

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit...”

-John 20: 21-22
Breathe on me, Breath of God; fill me with life anew, that I may love what thou dost love, and do what thou wouldst do.

Amen.
-Edwin Hatch
This week, we are excited to join with the Children's Choir in singing an arrangement of "Blessed Assurance". This piece begins with the children singing an original melody, which leads us into the entrance of the Adult Choir, giving us the traditional "Blessed Assurance" melody. The children come back in with their melody over top of the adults, for an impactful partnering of two expressive tunes merged into one touching piece. I will also be doing an arrangement of "Breathe" by The Brilliance, for both the 9:00 and 10:30 services, to partner with Pastor Tim's sermon. You will hear the theme of breath throughout the service in our hymns. I am taking some time today to do just as this anthem says. "Breathe. Breathe on us now. Fill us with Your love. Send us with Your power, Spirit of God".

With love,

Rebecca
