Dear MPS Colleagues:

As I retire from the Massachusetts Probation Service, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. It has been an honor to be part of this historic organization and a privilege serving as your Commissioner for these past ten years.

While it is always difficult to say goodbye, I feel that MPS is in good hands, because it is in your hands. It is you who have turned this agency into one that has been nationally recognized as a highly efficient, effective, and impactful Probation Service, one that changes lives and, in many cases, saves them. Your work not only directly assists our clients, but it also helps their families, provides support and services to victims and survivors and makes our communities safer.

I want to thank you for all that you have done and continue to do every day to deliver on this critical mission. As I leave MPS, I leave with a full heart and great memories knowing that I served the Commonwealth with a group of dedicated and compassionate professionals who worked hard to get the job done and who do it so well.

Wishing you all the best.

Sincerely,

Edward Dolan

Commissioner

Massachusetts Probation Service
