CONNECTIONS

Bible Study and Fellowship

We will gather in person for conversation, cookies, and exploration of the Gospels. The Connections Study is on Thursdays at 1:00 PM.

We are currently exploring the Gospel of John!

ST. MATTHEW'S SAFETY AND SECURITY

St. Matthew’s is currently revisiting the safety and security practices and procedures for the community and for the church building. During the pandemic, the building remained vacant and locked, and Sunday morning worship was not available in-person. Now we are back in full swing, with in-person worship on Sunday mornings and many daytime and evening events happening on a regular basis.

We are committed to maintaining our policies and we are looking to build a team of people to keep these policies current.

If you are interested in an opportunity to help maintain and update safety and security measures, or have any experience or expertise, we would love to hear from you! Please reach out to Pastor Kacey (pastorkacey@stmatthewsrenton.org ) or Libby Lucier (connect@stmatthewsrenton.org)

EASTER SUNDAY

EASTER EGG CANDY DONATIONS

We will be collecting individually wrapped candy for the Egg-Filling Party! Collection bin will be located in the Narthex.

EXPLORING THE HEART CLASS

Justus D'Addario, a faithful member of the St. Matthew's community, will lead a seven-part class exploring the heart. He will lead discussions and spiritual practices grounded in embodied love. As a student of Sufism for over 20 years, he is excited to be in conversation with anyone who would like to learn and explore with him in a relaxed setting—beginning on Tuesday, March 28 (every other week) from 5:30-6:30 PM at St. Matthew's. If you would like more information, please email pastorkacey@stmatthewsrenton.org for more details. As a community whose value is welcome, and our practice is hospitality, this is a great way to learn how each one of us experiences God and makes meaning in a pluralistic world.

THE LIVE PROJECT

The Synod-Wide ACTS STUDY CLASS continues to meet weekly on Tuesdays during Lent, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM on Zoom. All are welcome to join!

Dates: March 14, 21, 28 April 4

St. Matthew's Welcome Statement

St. Matthew’s is a passionate, imperfect community of Christ. We boldly affirm people of all cultures, ages, abilities, stories and experiences, skin tones, sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. We trust in the ridiculous love of God that shows no partiality. When our unique identities are used to divide or hurt us, we are committed to reconciliation and healing, so that justice, racial equity, grace and inclusion continue to be our way of life.
