Updates from our
Head of School

Hello Marblehead Community Charter Families,

The end of the second trimester is here and the first day of spring and trimester three is next week. We will have an early release day for everyone on Friday March 17 (tomorrow) with a noon dismissal.

Monday March 20 is a work day for teachers as they finalize grades for the second trimester. There is no school for students on Monday March 20. Then, the spring trimester begins Tuesday. The Report Cards will be available to parents a week later, on March 27.

Beginning the week of March 27, Enrichment will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Today, students and parents have access to the Enrichment course catalogs that are linked below. We have created grade level course lists so that students know what Enrichments are open to their grade level.

On Mondays, some students may opt to participate in some extended day options that are also linked below. Some of these options are fee-based, including the Track & Field Team and the Theatre Program. Please let us know if your child is interested in participating in one of these programs, but cost is an issue. We can discuss scholarship options with you individually.

Please note, not all students will opt-in for the extended day program on Mondays. Please sign up if interested. Students not attending the extended day program on Mondays will be dismissed at 2:30pm.

The Development & Communications Committee is in the process of reaching out to local businesses with sponsorship opportunities. We need your help. If you are interested in contacting a couple of businesses where you may already have a relationship/connection, please contact the Chair of the Dev/Com Committee, Jessica Gelb at jgelb@marbleheadcharter.com. If many people step up to assist, we can reach out to many businesses and secure the sponsors we need to help support the school. Click here or See below for more information.
