37th Annual Women's Distance Festival 5K

Supervisor Teresa Kenny participated in the 37th Annual Women’s Distance Festival 5K last Sunday. Although the morning was unseasonably hot and humid, over 767 dedicated women and girls geared up to cross the finish line. Supervisor Kenny was joined by her mother – fondly known as “Grandma” to many - who completed her 37th consecutive Women's Distance Festival 5K.

This event, which is held each year by the Rockland Road Runners, has grown to be the largest women’s 5K in the tri-state area! The proceeds help support the Center for Safety & Change in their mission to support, shelter and provide services to victims and survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking and other crimes.
