TRAFFIC UPDATE: MARCH 29, 2022
Activation of Final Set of Permanent Traffic Signals Scheduled at Longhill Road Intersection at Devon Road/Olde Towne Road
Starting as early as overnight Wednesday, March 30, weather permitting, crews are scheduled to activate the final set of the new, permanent traffic signals along the Longhill Road project corridor, located at the intersection of Devon Road/Olde Towne Road.

Following the activation of the intersection’s new permanent traffic signals, all turn and through lanes in both directions will open on Longhill Road and Olde Towne Road at the intersection. Additionally, the previous long-term through lane closure on the remaining portion of the Longhill Road corridor, including the westbound through lane at the Williamsburg West Drive intersection, will also open to traffic, under modified traffic conditions. For the safety of motorists and project crews, lane closures will continue to take place as needed to allow crews to finish final construction and punch list items along the corridor; however, at least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction.

All construction work is dependent upon weather conditions; therefore, the schedule is subject to change.
With construction activity and lane closures continuing along the project corridor, motorists are advised to anticipate potential delays and plan their commute by using VDOT’s free traffic information tools:
