The children will parade in with palms as we begin our Holy Week events. An outdoor Easter Egg Hunt will follow weather permitting. Please bring a basket and dress accordingly.

The Elders will participate in this special service from our "Full to the Brim" Lent series. Thursday, April 14 at 7pm.
|
Sunrise Service is led by Ernie Lyons at 9am with a breakfast to follow. Please sign-up in the narthex.
Consecration of the Blessing Box Micro-Pantry will be at 10:15am at the outdoor pantry.
Please bring your Lenten Reverse Calendar pantry items to worship. We will have people to help bring in your items.
Plan on arriving a few minutes early to worship, and place a flower in the living cross. It will be a wonderful place to gather with your family to make a memory and take a photograph.
Traditional Easter Worship will be at 10:30am with Emanuel Bells ringing. We will be having a special UCC collection, One Great Hour of Sharing. Join in our celebration!

One Great Hour of Sharing - April 17
This Lenten Offering supports the disaster, refugee, and development ministries of the United Church of Christ within Wider Church Ministries. They provide clean water, food, medicines, shelter, education, and health care. Please give this offering prayerful consideration.

Consistory welcomes Bob McCall as its newest member.
|
Bob McCall is a Member of Emanuel UCC. He attends with his wife, Sarah, and mother-in-law, Judy Cottrell. Bob and Sarah recently renewed their vows for their 25th wedding anniversary in August of 2021. He has two daughters, Alex & Gabby. Alex is married to Will, and they have one daughter, Charlotte, and live in England. Gabby lives locally in “The Valley” in Akron. Bob works for Hoppin’ Frog Brewery in Akron, Ohio in sales. Hoppin’ Frog is rated the 26th best brewer in the world and is in over 27 states and 38 countries. Bob also works as a Stage Hand at Blossom Music Center in the summer. Bob’s favorite thing is spending time with his wife and their friends. Bob’s hobbies are music, movies, and sports.

Pastor Gaye will be sharing "Water Sunday" info during worship.
Bring-Your-Own picnic lunch to enjoy outside after Casual Sunday worship. Please bring gloves and tools to help with cleaning up the church grounds. An activity will be available for children.

The church will be having a yard sale in conjunction with the Doylestown yard sale in September. As you go about your spring cleaning, please save things for the Church yard sale. We are asking that you store your items until the time of the sale. We do not have a place to store things this year. Look for more details about the yard sale in future newsletters.

We are now scheduling youth 3rd grade and up to be part of our acolyte (candle-lighter) rotation. Training will be provided to any new acolytes.

Blessing Box Micro-Pantry Startup Collection
|
Please consider using our Reverse Lenten Calendar to collect items to donate on Easter Sunday for our micro-pantry project. We also have offering boxes available as an alternative way to get involved. A little giving every day for the Lenten season will establish a successful self-service micro-pantry available to our community 24/7.

Single serving snacks for backpacks, sloppy joe sauce, mac & cheese, pasta, rice mix
Donations can be dropped off in the box in the narthex closet. Please check all expiration/best by dates.
