Reports are beginning to come in of wonderful IYM Sunday observances from all around the Yearly Meeting. God is moving in wonderful and mighty ways in our IYM body!
Outreach in 31 Flavors
You scream. I scream. We all scream for ice cream. Yes, we all like ice cream, but we may all like a different flavor. When it comes to serving up scoops of outreach to our community, we need to remember people may have different tastes. If you’ve only been serving “chocolate moose tracks,” you’re missing the strawberry, vanilla, and butter pecan folks. “31 Flavors” is all about the variety of ways to meet the needs of every sweet tooth in Jerusalem, Judea, and the uttermost parts of the world. The IYM Evangelism and Outreach Committee would like to use all of the IYM Summer Programming to encourage one another in how we reach out for Christ. Click HERE for more information on this theme and how you can participate.

IYM Church News:

Wabash Friends is sponsoring a time of playing games, crafting, reading stories, and having wonderful conversations with kids from all over the world at International House Summer Camp in Fort Wayne, June 6-10. Fort Wayne is home to people from over 60 different nations, and International House Summer Camp provides an amazing opportunity to begin building relationships with families who are learning to navigate a new life in the USA.

West River Friends will hold their annual Pork Chop Dinner, as a "drive-thru" on Saturday, May 7, 5-7 pm - free-will donation. Also, West River is gathering weekly to watch "The Chosen," a series based on Jesus calling His twelve disciples. A small meal will precede the video.

Sunday, February 27, Iglesia Amigos (tell who they are) came to Bear Creek Friends to share about their work and serve tacos with all of the fixings. Pastor Carlos Moran shared what is happening in their ministry, and daughter Karla Jay was his interpreter. Afterwards, about 50 people stayed for lunch. Everyone enjoyed the tacos. A big thank you goes to Iglesia Amigos.
Last Saturday, the IYM Representative Council approved Hardins Creek Friends Church as a Preparative Meeting of IYM under the care of Bear Creek Friends. Please pray for the people of Hardins Creek, Bear Creek, and the IYM Evangelism & Outreach Committee as everyone discerns this process to possible full Monthly Meeting status.

From the Advancement Committee:
The generosity of our IYM membership is pretty much astounding. Thank you for giving toward the 2023 IYM budget. We continue to work toward our goal of $120,000. This past Sunday was IYM Sunday -- a wonderful opportunity to reflect on who we are and what we are about. This amazing faith community offers the love of Jesus Christ as we serve. Let's keep at it!

From the Christian Service Committee:
Friends, we are in the midst of serving our communities in a heavy, dark time. Please keep finding ways to minister and serve -- push against evil. Share the glorious news of Jesus Christ through caring for folks. Here are three ministries in Indiana you might consider partnering with if you are looking for ways to offer Christian Service --

Edna Martin Christian Center (east side of Indy)
Love Inc. (Greenfield, IN)
Open Hearts Helping Hands (Summitville, IN)

Please share your stories with us of how your church is offering Christian Service.
The Evangelica Amigos Iglesia has a great passion to share the Gospel throughout central America. After back to back Cat 4 hurricanes about a year and a half ago, the eastern part of Guatemala had much critical damage. Since that time the church, led by the Yearly Meeting and its pastors, has worked steadily in their communities to recover. Many of the pastors themselves are yet to have their homes repaired. A work team is forming to serve June 18-25 to work on the home of Pastor Ramirez and family while spending time experiencing the community. If anyone would like more information, to join the team or donate to the material costs, contact John Key at 7651661-4034 or john@csiministries.net

The IYM Advancement Committee is inviting you to an event to say Thank You for all your support to the Advancement effort. The event will take place at Liberty Friends from 3-5 pm on May 15.
