Omicron: What You Need To Know
The omicron variant wasn't exactly what we hoped for this semester, but the Brandeis community is resilient and will face each new challenge with cautious optimism.

Here are some things to remember in light of the new omicron variant.

Get Your Booster Shot
It's more important than ever to get your vaccine booster. According to the CDC, COVID-19 vaccines remain effective in preventing severe disease, however recent data suggest their effectiveness at preventing infection or severe illness wanes over time. Boosters are now required for all eligible Brandeis students, so get yours as soon as you can!

Upgrade Your Mask
Experts agree that surgical masks and respirators (N95s, KN95s, and KF94s) provide superior protection against COVID than cloth masks or other face coverings. Brandeis students will be expected to use these medical-style masks on campus this spring, so stock up now!

Alternative New Year's Resolutions
It's easy to get caught up in the New Year's resolution fervor and plan extreme changes to your eating and exercise habits. That might work for some, but remember that health and well-being encompasses much more than just nutrition and fitness.
