SPECIAL MUSIC

“Welcome!
We are so glad you are here!”

As we enter our church, as we live as members, as we experience important life-cycle events (falling in love, marrying, parenting, baptism, coming out, transitioning, etc.), words of welcome and support, understanding and love are what we all long for. This manifestation of God’s Extravagant Welcome and the justice and social witness that accompany it are the heart of what we hope to show our community and all who walk through the doors of Christ Congregational United Church of Christ.

PEACE BE WITH YOU!
Dear Congregation,

This Sunday is the Third Sunday in Lent already. Worship will be held outdoors in the Garden Chapel, with the extended forecast looking favorable! I hope you’ll be present in person or on Facebook.

I’m looking forward to our Spiritual Spa Day tomorrow, and hope to see many of you there. Many thanks to all who have volunteered to lead the various activities. We are blessed to have a talented congregation who are generous in using their God-given gifts for the benefit of others.

May you continue your Lenten journey looking for and finding signs of God’s goodness in the world, both in everyday life and in the beauty of creation.

In Christ’s love.

Pastor Candy

Proposed Florida Constitutional Amendment:
Right to Clean and Healthy Waters

On March 21st at 4:00 pm in Beverly Hall on the Naples United Church of Christ (NUCC) campus and via the webinar link below, the Environment Subcommittee will hold an educational program to discuss the proposed Florida Constitutional Amendment titled, Right to Clean and Healthy Water.

Joseph Bonasia who serves as the Southwest Florida chair of Florida Rights of Nature Network and Communications Director of Florida Right To Clean Water, the two organizations leading the campaign, will discuss the need to amend our state constitution with this fundamental “Right to Clean and Healthy Waters.”  He will explain key aspects of the law, provide concrete examples showing how it can help solve water quality issues in SW Florida, and note how the attendees can help get the amendment     on the 2024 Florida state ballot.

The petition needs 900,000 signatures to place this referendum on the ballot for a vote in 2024.

You and members of your congregation are invited to attend or participate via the zoom webinar link to learn more about this important topic.
