The traditional Feast of Saint Gabriel Italian Festival did not happen last month in Little Italy, however, Saint Leo's Church hosted its traditional Mass and street procession in honor of the saint. |

FRIDAY NIGHT DINNERS
AT LITTLE ITALY LODGE
The Lodge's well-loved Friday Night Dinners in Little Italy continue to be a highlight of our Italian American community's social calendar. Join members and guests on the first and third Fridays of the month for delicious Italian cuisine, heartwarming conversation, laughter, and camaraderie. What a perfect way to unwind at week's end and connect with friends - and meet new ones! In addition to the featured menu item ($14 to $17), attendees may purchase additional food, dessert, and soft/hard beverages. Doors open at 5 pm.

"I am Signorina Rosalinda Gioconda Mannetta, first-generation and proud daughter of professore and carabiniere, Alfonso Mannetta, and Gioconda Simari; honored sister of Elia Mannetta; and mamma of Marco Mannetta. I am a lifetime resident, promoter and defender of Little Italy, having lived at the same address on South Exeter Street since my birth in 1957. I am a lifetime parishioner of St. Leo the Great, alumna of St. Leo's School, member of LINA/Little Italy Neighborhood Association, and a Little Italy Lodge trustee and Arbitration Board member.
For over 16 years, I have taught various levels of la bellissima lingua italiana - the beautiful Italian language - at Pandola Learning Center housed in St. Leo's School. As well, there I began the annual Ferragosto celebration. My brother, Elia, began the Little Italy Lodge #2286 in 1973; the youngest president at that time. At age 15, I was the youngest Recording Secretary. My family and I (especially my brother) have carried Baltimore's Little Italy in our hearts all over the world and have brought countless visitors from around the globe to visit our Piccola Italia. Many times we have initiated twin city exchanges of students and dignitaries."
