PASTOR'S PICKS CORNER! REV. DANIELS READING/LISTENING/WATCHING SUGGESTIONS
An eclectic collection of books, movies, TV shows, magazines, etc. that I have come across, which I found good or interesting and you might too!

Recently reading:
Just one this week, but it's a doozy!
Dominion: How the Christian Revolution Remade the World, by Tom Holland. Holland (not the actor) reviews world history from c. 1CE to c.2015CE, pointing out the ways in which Christianity and Christian theology affected the course of world events. This is most obvious in large-scale events, such as the conversion of Constantine and the Crusades, but can be seen in the changes in cultural attitudes and even clothing, not to mention the foundations of politics and economics. It's a large book, both in scope and heft (542 pages in paperback, not counting acknowledgments, bibliography and index), but it is well worth it.
WE NEED YOUR IDEAS!
The Board has been discussing some ways to bring us together for some fun. We have the opportunity to use the banquet room at PJ Klems on Ogden Ave in Lyons once a month on a Sunday afternoon. Please let us know by selecting one of the activities below what interests you. If you have any other suggestions, please email Roxann Victory at roxann.victory@outlook.com. Thank you for participating!
What kind of activities would you like to do at PJ Klems?

SHARE FOOD, SHARE LOVE, FOOD PANTRY
Some families will have a hard time providing healthy, nourishing food. Rising food costs caused by inflation, when combined with the ongoing pandemic, means that many family budgets that were already stretched thin, are no longer adequate to provide for their needs. Sometimes it is even necessary for families to do without essential items like medicine or professional health care, so that everyone has enough to eat.

You can make a real difference. Donating now is so important please take a minute to give so we can feed the hungry in our area.
Thank you!

A $1 Donation Can Provide 6 Meals!
