September 18, 2022
September 22, 2022 Autumn begins, "This is the only season that by two names is called. It is a constant reminder that we live betwixt and between. On one side is strength while the other side is lean."
Sunday, September 25 is Christian Education and Theological Education Emphasis. Members of the Christian Education Commission will be leading in worship. I think it incumbent that Christian and Theological Education Emphasis has as its purpose responsible biblical interpretation as it communicates the message of the Bible to the contemporary concerns of life. Given how easily scripture gets misinterpreted and misused to alienate, isolate, perpetuate petty prejudices, proclivities and practices, it is absolutely necessary to responsibly interpret scripture and make the appropriate application to our lives.
Dr. William S. Epps, Senior Pastor

"The Biden-Harris Administration launched a new nationwide Test to Treat initiative in March to give individuals an important way to quickly access free lifesaving treatment for COVID-19. Through this program, people are able to get tested and – if they are positive and treatments are appropri1`te for them – receive a prescription from a health care provider (either on-site or through telehealth), and have their prescription filled all at one location. These “One-Stop Test to Treat” sites are available at thousands of locations nationwide, including pharmacy-based clinics, federally-funded health centers, long-term care facilities, and community-based sites. In May, the program was expanded to include federally-supported Test to Treat sites. People can continue to be tested and treated by their own health care providers, health care clinics in their community, and telehealth providers who can appropriately prescribe the oral antivirals to locations where the medicines are distributed."
