Greetings!
I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the beauty of spring. In the spirit of growth, I want to share that today is #DoMore24, the DMV's largest annual 24-hour online fundraiser! DoMore24 has spent a decade rallying support for local not-for-profit organizations to help us grow and thrive. I ask you to consider making a donation to Manna today, if you can. Your support is critical to our mission of ending hunger in Montgomery County, in more ways than you might think.

When the community considers “hunger” we don't always think about limited transportation choices, lack of access to culturally-appropriate foods, or lack of institutional trust; yet these issues affect large portions of our food insecure neighbors here in Montgomery County. Giving today will allow us to continue to innovate and collaborate with community partners as we all work together towards #FoodForAll

Read on to learn about another spring tradition: our partners at RideOn are rallying support in their annual food drive. Also take a look at our recent Heroes Against Hunger ceremony and Honorees. Lastly, I hope you can join us for the next chapter of our ongoing conversation series, Breaking Bread, as we discuss how mental health connects with food insecurity.

Thank you for doing your part to help us #DoMore24 as together we build a better future for everyone in Montgomery County.

CEO, Manna Food Center

RideOn Food Drive Happening Now!

Our friends at RideOn are hosting their Annual Food Drive this week, May 15-22. Non-perishable food items can be donated on all Ride On, extRa, Flex and Flash buses during this time. This year donations are also accepted at Regional Service Centers and County Libraries. We are so grateful for this support and partnership! Click below for more details and to access the complete list of drop-off sites.
We Celebrated Our Heroes
Last month we celebrated 3 heroes in our community for their work against food insecurity in Montgomery County. The night went wonderfully and we were so grateful to see everyone in person. We want to extend a huge thank you to the Honorees, Attendees, and Sponsors that made the night possible, it is the spirit of collaboration that makes it possible for Manna to pursue #FoodForAll!
