Part two of WIL's focus on Microfinance happens on March 8th
Join us for the second of WIL's two-part program focusing on the up close and personal workings of WIL's microfinance projects.

BANK YOUR VOTE, will be held in-person on March 8th at the Philadelphia Ethical Society (1906 Rittenhouse Square). In this session, the Microfinance Committee will present proposals from Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) that have been evaluated by the Microfinance Committee. You, as a WIL member, will have the opportunity to vote on the proposals that you feel are worthy of additional funding. This promises to be a lively and interactive session. Register here for the program.

If you missed the first session (February 16th) or would like to view it again, you can find the recording on our YouTube Channel.

Many of you have attended programs and trips and have seen our updates on social media. We would love your input to make this organization as impactful as it can be. We can only do that with your help.

Service Committee Backpack Collection Extended
The deadline is extended on the Service Committee's backpack drive to Wednesday, March 2nd

Here’s an important opportunity to support Leah’s Dream Afafanto Scholars and Alumnae in Ghana. Currently scholars receive their school supplies at the beginning of the school year in fragile shopping bags. They urgently need a safe and reliable way to carry their supplies from place to place. We are extending our deadline one more week for anyone who can donate.

You can help by donating new or slightly used daypacks, small to medium collapsible duffle bags, laptop sleeves, and conference bags with zippers in good condition that have been piling up in your attic or basement.

Please contact Lynne McMahon or Sandee Mandel
Thanks in advance for your support of the WIL Service Committee backpack drive. It will mean so much to young scholars of Leah’s Dream in Ghana.
An Update from Empowerment Grants Partner
Girls Leading Africa
Periodically, we get updates or hear from organizations we have supported with our WIL Empowerment Grants. We are so happy to see and hear how our support has been instrumental in helping these fabulous young women from Girls Leading Africa (Nigeria) find their voices. View Video Here
