Columbus Campus Dedication Ceremony
On April 22, 2022, Mercer University officially dedicated its newest state-of-the-art building in Columbus to the School of Medicine. The dedication ceremony was led by President William D. Underwood, Dean Sumner and several state and local elected officials.

HAMILTON - Mercer Medicine yesterday held a ribbon cutting for the launch of its fifth rural primary care clinic, which opened April 4 at 138 North College Street in Hamilton.

GRHIC Maternal Health Observership Summer Experience
The Maternal Health Observership Summer Experience at the Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center (GRHIC) is a ­­­­­­­­­­six-week program that will take place from June 20 – July 29. It is designed for rising second-year medical students interested in practicing in rural, medically underserved communities. Students will shadow obstetrics/gynecology providers in rural Georgia. Didactic curriculum includes participation in journal club and publication.
NGMC EM Residency Virtual Hangout Sessions
The Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Emergency Medicine Residency is hosting virtual hangout sessions from 2 4 pm on May 5 and May 17. Students will be able to meet the residency leadership and ask them questions about the EM program.
National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program
Deadline May 5

Experiences as First-Gen Panel

Race to Step 1

Savannah's interest groups will be hosting the first annual Race To Step 1 event. This relay race event will include high yield material to prepare you for STEP 1. Prizes will be awarded.

Mercer Pakistani Student Association and Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. invite you attend their mock Mehndi event. The event will have dance performances, Pakistani food, free henna application, and a photobooth.

In honor of Minority Health Month Atrium Heath Navicent, in partnership with Mercer University School of Medicine, Macon-Bibb County Health Department, and Navicent Health Foundation are hosting an interactive event that will include networking, presentations, a Q&A panel of experts, and a special viewing of Toxic: A Black Woman's Story.

Commencement
Saturday, May 7 | 2 pm
Commencement will take place on Saturday, May 7 in Hawkins Arena, which is located in the University Center on the Macon campus. It will begin promptly at 2:00pm. Doors will open at 1:00pm to allow time for guests to arrive and take their seats. Please encourage your guests to be seated no later than 1:45pm.

Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope
In partnership with Resilient Middle Georgia, MUSM students, faculty, and staff are now able to watch the documentary Resilience. This one-hour long film explores the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences and the birth of a new movement to treat and prevent Toxic Stress, a leading cause of many diseases and illnesses.
