HBCU Day of Prayer
Rdevia announces the inaugural HBCU Day of Prayer on Sunday, September 18 at 8:45 a.m., presented in collaboration with the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

HBCUs have a longstanding foundation of faith, in fact, a substantial amount of HBCUs were
established by religious groups and continue those relationships today. Without a doubt, the faith of the religious leaders who established these schools have played significant roles in providing access to education to African-Americans for nearly 200 years. Through HBCU Day of Prayer, these relationships will be highlighted in ways they have not been before and refreshed as colleges and universities continue to plan and pivot their future.

HBCU Day of Prayer will feature words from Claflin University President Dr. Dwaun Warmack and Dr. Raphael X. Moffett, senior trustee of Rdevia. Prayers will be given by Rev. Maxine S. Bolden (Tougaloo College), Rev. Debra Haggins (Hampton University), Rev. Kevin Kosh Jr. (Jackson State University), Rev. Tonya Miles (Clark Atlanta University), Rev. C.J. Rhodes (Alcorn State University), and Rev. Joseph Scrivner (Stillman College).

HBCU Day of Prayer will be the first event of 2022 National HBCU Week. To view the HBCU Day of Prayer, you can visit rdevia.org/pray4hbcus.
