Recruitment Going Strong!

Along with extensive promotions on Facebook, Peachjar, in-school visits, posters, and yard signs, more than 40,000 promotional flyers have already been distributed in schools throughout the council, yielding record turn-outs at recruitment nights throughout our 19 counties. Scout leaders are encouraged to work together with other units and district for combined recruitment efforts.

Angling Educator Training
A four-hour National training course for Scouters and Scouts age 15+. Prepares program leaders to teach fishing skills, and to plan and run fishing events for their unit, district, or Council. Angling Educators learn age-based and skills-appropriate fishing tools and techniques for simple cane pole and spin cast fishing. The course highlights best practices in both the classroom and in the field.

Fish-n-Shoot Cuboree!
Come for a morning or afternoon of Cub Scout fun. Go fishing and shoot BB Guns and Bows and Arrows. Bring a buddy who is not in Scouts and come for free. At Mission Lake in Gaston.

Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Camp Coker
This course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of Leave No Trace skills and ethics through practical application in a field-based setting. The course prepares students to assist a Master Educator in two-day Leave No Trace Trainer courses and present shorter Awareness Workshops. This course is recommended for Troop Leaders and Troop Guides.

Open to any and all Scouts BSA Units and Venture Crews! Join us at the Beach for an amazing weekend full of Scout Skills Challenges, Campfire Program, and Scouting Fellowship!

Winter Camp at Camp Barstow!
Join us at Camp Barstow for a Winter Camp experience like other! Held just before Christmas, Winter Camp offers Scouts the opportunity to earn Merit Badges, work through advancement requirements, and familiarize youth with the Scouting program and outdoor experience.
