My Painting Juried into National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society (NOAPS)

Best of America Small Works 2022

"Smoky Mountain Beehives" will be displayed at an exhibit at the Beverly McNeil Gallery in Birmingham, AL, April 28 - May 27, 2022.

This show is part of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society who put out a call for artists work a few months ago. I am honored to have been juried into this exhibit. Thank you to NOAPS and the Beverly McNeil Gallery!

I painted this piece both plein air in Gatlinburg, where I'm taking a group in June to paint, and in my studio. It was so relaxing to stand in a field, listening to the stream while watching the sky over Mt. LeConte change constantly. Even a deer came to visit me which was a lovely surprise! Glad it wasn't a BEAR!!!

Thank you for joining me on my art path in 2022

I'm excited to announce that I have a new studio space that is large enough to give me the room to spread out and the freedom to make a big mess!

I'm working on several large public art commissions and I needed to be able to distance myself from these huge panels so that I can stand back and see what I'm doing. I am also able to work in "stations" that I've set up. They consist of different media such as acrylics, oil, cold wax and oil, alcohol inks etc... This is a time saver as I can leave projects out and not have to put materials away after I use them -- a dream come true!

I will be having an open house and sale hopefully this summer at this new location....all pertinent information to be announced as soon as I know the dates.
