Mat-Su Clinic Now Open!
Our new clinic at 351 W. Parks Highway in Wasilla is now open!

We are thrilled to be serving Valley residents of all ages! Services include mental health assessments and diagnosis, therapy using a range of evidence-based practices, psychiatry/medication management, and primary care for our behavioral health clients (see photo at left).

The clinic is currently open Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm and appointments are currently available!
Call 907-563-1000 to schedule or submit intake paperwork on-line here and reception staff will call to schedule. Providers may also submit our on-line referral form.
Reminder: Anchorage Medical department has moved!
All psychiatry, nursing and primary care appointments that previously took place at our 4020 Folker location are now at 4120 Laurel Street.

The new building is just around the block from Folker, but its entrance can be hard to find: it's in the center of the building, accessed from the parking lot.

April: Stress & Anxiety Awareness
As part of a new mental health awareness campaign, we'll be highlighting common mental health issues and focus populations each month. Follow along on Facebook and Instagram.

In April, we're focusing on stress and anxiety - some of the most common mental health struggles people in the US face! Anxiety is the most common diagnosis among our adult clients; 1 in 3 US adults will be diagnosed with anxiety during their lifetime. 94% of US adults report feeling stress at or about work. The good news: treatment works! 85% of clients experience reduced anxiety symptoms after starting treatment!

Stay tuned through the year as we highlight different issues.
Cohen Clinic Updates
April is the Month of the Military Child! All month, the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at AKBH is highlighting the strength and resilience of military kids. Stop by the clinics at 1450 Muldoon Road in Anchorage or 926 Aspen Street in Fairbanks to write on the gratitude wall or take a selfie!
Cohen Clinic staff recently traveled to Florida for the Cohen Veterans Network Annual Meeting. They networked, brainstormed, and learned about new ways to support active duty service members, veterans and military families.

Of course, they also had a little fun and team bonding. Rumor is the mini-golf got a little competitive...
