President's Message

Dear Colleagues,

As we wrap up the first quarter of the year, we are so excited to see so many members renew, as well as welcome many new members to EWHC! The Board and I are glad you have chosen to join EWHC and can't wait to see you at our upcoming events.

This month and next promise some excellent opportunities for learning and networking. First up is the 2023 Indiana Pressler Memorial Women Lead HERe leadership conference on Wed., April 26th. This event is in partnership with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and will be a day of inspiration.

May brings two popular EWHC events! Join us on May 10th for a legislative update at our second quarter luncheon featuring Allison Matters Taylor. Allison is the Medicaid Director for Indiana’s Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) and will provide us with the knowledge and insights to navigate the complex world of Indiana healthcare politics and policy.

Finally, on May 17th, join us for a day of networking, golf, and fun as we bring together women from all corners of the healthcare industry. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just starting out, our event is the perfect opportunity to build new relationships and expand your professional network.

Purse Donations Benefiting Prevail

At our event we will be auctioning off donated designer handbags and purses. Proceeds will be donated to Prevail.

Since 1986, Prevail has assisted over 70,000 survivors and their loved ones in putting the pieces of their lives back together. When trauma happens, we are there to provide hope and healing to victims in the community. Through our Primary Prevention efforts, Prevail is working towards ending acts of violence before they happen. Effectively creating a safe and healthy community for all of us.

Legislative Update by: Allison Matters Taylor

Allison Taylor is the Medicaid Director for Indiana’s Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA). In this role she oversees the Medicaid program, which delivers health care coverage to 2 million Hoosiers through fee-for-service and managed care delivery systems. She is responsible for all aspects of Medicaid operations, strategic planning, access, quality, and overall program performance.

We look forward to seeing you at the event and providing you with the knowledge and insights you need to navigate the complex world of Indiana healthcare politics and policy.
