FCCLA State Results

Our FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Club competed last week at the state level. We are so proud of our students and their accomplishments at the STAR Events. We have 3 groups that qualified to compete at NATIONALS in San Diego, CA!

CASE Assessments

Students will be taking CASE Assessments in Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II and English I and II this week, March 28 through April 1.   

CASE assessments are benchmark tests that provides information for teachers to guide instruction, to monitor student learning, and to predict how well students will perform on state tests. 

These benchmarks are essentially summative assessments (administered several times a year) that are used for formative purposes to help guide instruction.

Craft Academy

Craft Academy have reopened their application for the Class of 2024! You will have until April 15, 2022, to complete the online application and submit your supplemental materials listed below:

• 5 essay responses (prompts are included at the end of the online application)
• High School Transcript
• ACT Scores submitted directly to Morehead State University via your MyACT portal
• Your ACT scores will be used to schedule you for classes, we ask that you submit your scores as soon as possible
• 3 letters of recommendation (One letter must be from a former or current STEM teacher, one must be from a community member and the third recommender can be of your choice. Please do not use family members, friends, and/or peers.)

Your essays, transcript, and letters of recommendation can be submitted to us either by mail or email craftacademy@moreheadstate.edu. The link to the online application is below:

Our PTSO is offering our Class of 2022 a Cooper Graduation Lawn Sign for $15!

(Not to be confused with the recent Graduate Services email about lawn signs)

Graduation Slideshow 

Parents who wish to have their student's picture included in the graduation slideshow shown prior to the graduation ceremony and DVD should do the following:

1. Scan a baby photo using a resolution of at least 1000 dpi.

2. Save file as a JPEG with student's first and last name as the file name (JesseSmith).

3. E-mail photo to rchs.graduation@boone.kyschools.us.

In regards to the senior picture that will appear in the video, it will be the formal picture taken from Lifetouch.

Questions about senior pictures should be directed to Ms. Erin Baumgardner.

Baby picture questions should be directed to Ms. Karen Wiebe.

Deadline to turn in photos is April 1st 2022.
