Precision Manufacturing program at NCC earns NIMS accreditation
Nashua Community College’s Precision Manufacturing Program has received full program accreditation from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS).

“The NIMS accreditation designation is an industry-recognized validation of the highest standards of student comprehension and instructional quality. The attainment of this accreditation verifies that the NCC Precision Manufacturing program produces skilled, work-ready individuals that fulfill industry's 21st Century workforce needs,” said Barry Garside, VP of academic Affairs at NCC.
Great Bay partners with Gather to expand campus and community food support services
Great Bay Community College and Gather, the seacoast region’s largest hunger relief organization, have been working together since early 2019 to reduce food insecurity among students. GBCC and Gather are now poised to expand their partnership to create even more support for students and the community.

Gather distributes two million pounds of food each year through its local food programs. The expanded partnership will provide Gather with the use of GBCC’s 1,000 square foot commercial-grade kitchen to support its Cooking4Community Program, a which prepares 600 meals per week for the Seacoast community, and increase support for students.
Students at MCC rally to raise funds, awareness for Ukraine
Students, faculty and staff at Manchester Community College gathered recently to raise relief funds and show support for the citizens of Ukraine, in an event that included students and alumni of the college sharing personal stories of life in their home country.
NHTI’s Dental Continuing Education Program connects more patients to dental care
NHTI–Concord’s Community College is proud to offer the N.H. Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) program, a unique training that results in expanded access to affordable health care. NHTI’s 8-week EFDA program is offered through the college’s Business Training Center. Founded in 2016 with substantial support from the New Hampshire Dental Society and Northeast Delta Dental, the NHTI EFDA program expands the credentials and skills of dental assistants and hygienists. The program will run from July 17-Oct. 2, 2022. Registrations are now being accepted.
CCSNH’s ApprenticeshipNH Program and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center launch healthcare pre-apprenticeship program for high school students
CCSNH's ApprenticeshipNH workforce program, River Valley Community College in Claremont and Dartmouth Health’s Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire’s only academic medical center, have partnered to create a pre-apprenticeship program for high school students interested in healthcare careers. The program will prepare students for entry into the medical assistant, pharmacy technician and surgical technologist registered apprenticeship programs of the Dartmouth Hitchcock Workforce Readiness Institute. The 14-week program is open to high school seniors age 17 and older, who will participate in classroom instruction at RVCC and paid on-the-job learning at DHMC in Lebanon as healthcare operations support assistants.
