Free Supplies for NYC Public School Teachers from Materials for the Arts

Materials for the Arts (MFTA) invites teachers to access the vast array of free supplies available in its 35,000 square-foot warehouse. Educators who want to join the spree can visit MFTA's website and schedule an appointment online. Spot a Spotted Lanternfly?

There has been an uptick in spotted lanternfly (SLF) sightings throughout LIC. Per guidelines from the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, and in an effort to slow the spread of this invasive planthopper, please squish and dispose of any SLFs you come across. Report any signs of SLF infestation at agriculture.ny.gov/ReportSLF or by emailing spottedlanternfly@agriculture.ny.gov. Make sure to include photos, location of infestation and details of any property damage. Details
