Library Hours in May

There are a few key dates in May where we will change from our normal schedule.

Friday, May 20th

Open at 1 pm

On Friday, May 20th, the library will open at 1 pm so staff can participate in an in-service.

While the library is closed, materials can returned in the book drop on the side of the building facing the Senior Center.

Monday, May 30th

Closed All Day

In observance of Memorial Day, the library will be closed all day on Monday, May 30th.

While the library is closed, materials can returned in the book drop on the side of the building facing the Senior Center.

Weekly Storytimes

Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:15 am

For ages 0-6. Held at OSD District Office meeting space. Registration required.

Enjoy stories, songs, movement activities, and more with Ms. Wendy and Ms. Kelly!

Baby Storytime

Thursdays at 9:30 am and 11 am

For ages 0-18 months held via Zoom. Registration Required.

Enjoy rhymes, bounces, and stories with Ms. Wendy along with social time for babies and caregivers.

Stories Before Bedtime

3rd Monday at 6:30 pm

For ages 0-6 held via Zoom. Registration Required.

Join us for stories, songs, and rhymes before bedtime. Each child will receive a craft related to the theme.

Events for Tweens & Teens

Monday Mashup at OYC

Mondays at 4:30 pm

Held at the Oregon Youth Center at 110 N. Oak St.

For grades 5th -9th. No registration.

Librarian Kelly from Oregon Library visits the OYC on Mondays and does a variety of activities, like trivia, games, and STEAM activities.

On Wednesday, May 18 at 11:30 am (online) we will discuss A Rising Man by Abir Mukherjee.

Plant Wildflowers

Thursday, May 19 at 6 pm

Event for adults at Waterman/Triangle Park.

Registration required.

Linda Conroy of Moonwise Herbs will discuss harvesting, watering, trimming, and more! Learn which herbs grow best planted and harvested in succession, how to encourage growth and flowers, and caring for annuals vs perennials. Also discover some late planting suggestions.
