The Haiti Cheri Connection.
In addition to starting the church, Pastor Ixner is pursuing a Master's Degree in Leadership at the Christian University of North Haiti. It just so happens that Haiti Cheri's founder, Pastor Oris Guillaume, is an adjunct professor at the university, and Ixner is in some of his classes.
Because of this connection, a friendship ensued, and Dr. Oris connected Pastor Ixner to the clinic in Cap-Haitien. As we often say, the clinic is interested in the whole person, both physically and spiritually. In that light, Pastor Ixner serves as a chaplain to the clinic. He prays for the sick, and he offers to introduce them to Christ. He is a part of the effort to fulfill the mission to heal both body and soul.
Great things happen when we work together.
Psalm 133 verse 1 states "Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!" [ESV] Here is a case where everyone involved has set aside any territorial concerns or personal agendas, and are working together for the sake of God's Kingdom.
