We have welcome news to share! CSNN is now registered as a non-profit in the state of Missouri. This process was carefully considered and we appreciate the legal counsel and the prayers and inspiration that made it possible.
Save the Date!: The CSNN board is delighted to announce that the International Christian Science Nursing Conference (2023 ICSNC) will take place in-person at CedarS CampS in Lebanon, Missouri, from Wednesday, August 30 to Sunday, September 3, 2023. All Christian Science nurses are warmly invited to attend. Whether you have been advertising in The Christian Science Journal for years or are a budding trainee Christian Science nurse, you will enjoy the camaraderie and commitment expressed by participants throughout the conference. Look for more information in early 2023.
AOCSN Conference: The Association of Organizations for Christian Science Nursing (AOCSN) hosted a conference in Dublin, Ohio from May 2-5. AOCSN was formed to support the vital roles of Executive Director, Director of Christian Science Nursing and Trustee of Christian Science nursing organizations. This year, educators from Christian Science nursing facilities were also invited to attend the conference to discuss the unified support for continuity and thoroughness of education for our Christian Science nurses. This conference, which is now being held biennially to avoid conflicting with CSNN’s ICSNC, provides opportunities for those serving in these roles to come together to learn about best practices through workshops and talks, as well as opportunities for collaboration, discussion and networking. We’re grateful that five of the six current CSNN board members were able to attend. The theme of this conference was “A time to embrace” from Ecclesiastes 3:5. This was the first in-person AOCSN conference since 2019 and was deeply appreciated by everyone who attended. It was wonderful to renew acquaintances, make new friends, and see familiar faces again!
