Join us on Wednesday, 9/13 from 4:00pm-5:00pm in Plover 526 and learn about the different employment authorizations available under your F-1 nonimmigrant student status. Or watch the recording if you can't make it.

STEM and Health Careers Employer Meet-Up

After attending the F-1 Employment Workshop, come and network with employers who are offering jobs/internships on Thursday 9/14 from 11:00am-1:30pm on the Race Building lawn. Don't forget to bring your résumé!

Emergency Preparedness

Be Prepared, Stay Safe!

Wildfire season is here. SRJC campuses were temporarily closed in 2017, 2018, and 2019 due to wildfires in the region. All students should be prepared for the possibility of power outages, poor air quality, and evacuation.

Sign-up now to receive emergency text alerts from SRJC.
You can also subscribe to Nixle to receive alerts for the region.
The Watch Duty app is also great for tracking wildfires.

Important Reminders

Sunday 9/3 is the last day to add a semester-length class with an add code & the last day to drop without a W.

If you are still not enrolled in classes, your SEVIS record will be terminated on First Census Day. See Academic Calendar.

You're required by law to update your U.S. address within 10 days. Login to your Student Portal to update your profile, then email us.

Do not accept a job until you get authorization from ISP. Unauthorized employment will result in termination of your F-1 status.

Friday 9/1 - All student services are closed for professional development.

Monday 9/5 - Campus is closed for Labor Day. Classes are cancelled.

Friday 9/22 - Campus is closed for Native American Day. Classes are cancelled.

Meet Carlos

Hello! My name is Carlos Quevedo and I am an international student. I am from Peru, South America. My hobbies are playing soccer and I also like to go to the gym. My major is business, so I am planning to transfer in December 2024. Nice to meet you all!
