Lake County Public Health Updates | |
Message From Lake County
In Lake County, we have seen a significant decrease in cases from an average of 108 cases a week in Mid-January to less than 15 weekly. St. Vincent Health has had only 1 hospitalization in two weeks. Due to this significant decrease in COVID-19 cases, and minimal hospitalizations, Lake County Government lifted the mask requirement in County facilities on Friday, February 11th. Giving the extra time for the mask requirement to expire allows for more public facing Departments to adjust expectations with our community members. However, the CDC strongly urges all to still to wear a mask when needed. Visit the CDC Website to view their Mask Wearing guidelines.

Public Health is willing to vaccinate staff at their place of business if there are more than 5 people needing any dose for Pfizer and Moderna. Reach out to covidteam@co.lake.co.us or call the office at 719-486-2413 to speak with a nurse.
Visit the Lake County Public Health Facebook page and website for more important updates regarding COVID 19 and the proper precautions to keep yourself and others safe.
