Spring Open House

Summer Classes

Registration is now open for RVCC’s summer classes, with sessions beginning May 22, June 12, and July 10. Summer is a great opportunity for college students to earn extra credits and save money and for high school juniors and seniors to jumpstart their college education.
Information Sessions

Get all of your questions about RVCC answered at an Information Session or campus tour in April. Upcoming events focus on the Occupational Therapy Assistant, Medical Assistant, Paralegal Studies, and Automotive Technology programs, as well as the Honors College.
Mechanical Engineering Technology

Learn more about RVCC’s new Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) program at an Open House & Information Session, April 19, at 6 p.m. No advance registration is required for the event, which will be held in the Workforce Training Center, Room WT215.
Adult Learners' College

Members of the community interested in learning more about RVCC’s new Adult Learners’ College are invited to attend a special Information Session, April 25, at United Way of Hunterdon County’s Volunteer Center, located at 20 Fulper Road, Flemington. Two sessions will run: from 3-5 p.m. and 5-7 p.m.
Criminal Justice Career Night

RVCC will hold a Criminal Justice Career Night focusing on career and educational pathways, April 26, 6-8 p.m., in the Event Center.
Author Discussion

Area high school educators are invited to an online discussion with Cara Wilson-Granat, author of Tree of Hope, June 12, at 10 a.m. The Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies program is free of charge and open to the public.
Service Learning Award

Criminal Justice student Jordan Barge of Somerville has been named the recipient of the 2022–2023 Raritan Valley Community College Service Learning Leadership Award.
American College Dance Conference

RVCC Dance students and faculty recently participated in the American College Dance Conference, with great success.
Artist Fellowship

Loretta Di Bianca Fois, Professor of Dance, is among 96 artists selected for a 2023 Individual Artist Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
Arts Grant for Concert Series

Dr. Anna Keiserman, a pianist and Assistant Professor of Music, has received a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Local Arts Program Grant from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission for the MOZAIKA concert series. 
President’s Volunteer Service Award

In celebration of Global Volunteer Month and for their extraordinary service totaling more than 4,000 hours to the local community and the College, several RVCC students are receiving the President’s Volunteer Service Award–Gold Level.
Students Present at Conference

Student activist leaders Sandra Faragalla and Myra Niang represented RVCC at the EngageNJ statewide Student Conference and Opportunity Fair, held at Middlesex College.
Articles on Sciworthy

Professor Melanie Lenahan’s biology students help explain cutting-edge molecular biology research on the Sciworthy platform. Their science communication articles are part of Professor Lenahan’s work with Open Pedagogy, which gives students greater freedom in how they demonstrate their learning. Students can create new content that is in turn openly licensed and shared with future students or with the public.
Nonpartisan Democratic Engagement

RVCC has been awarded a Highly Established Action Plan Seal by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge for its efforts to increase nonpartisan democratic engagement and graduate engaged voters by building a strong nonpartisan action plan.
Part 2 of Art Show

Part 2 of the annual RVCC Student Art Exhibition, featuring Ceramics, Digital Media, Game Art, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Sound and Video, is on view through April 28.
Student Nurses Support Blood Drive

The Student Nurses' Association (SNA) supported RVCC’s February 23 Blood Drive, a successful effort resulting in 41 units of blood collected. The units will help save more than 120 lives.

Six SNA members monitored blood donors for adverse reactions after their blood donation and also provided hydration and a snack.
Planetarium

The RVCC Planetarium’s April schedule includes star shows for all ages, a laser concert featuring music by Pink Floyd, and much more.
