Police Department Issues Awareness Bulletin

Homestead High School seniors have entered into a squirt gun battle with each other called “Senior Assassin”. The game follows a popular social media trend that has quickly spread across the country. The Mequon-Thiensville School District has no affiliation with this game.  The rules of the game can be found on Instagram (@stead_senior_assassin).  There is no official timeline as to when the game will conclude.

The Mequon Police Department has received calls related to the game.  Officers that responded were quickly able to ascertain that there was no threat, and the juveniles were sent on their way.  The concern is that some of the water guns have a striking resemblance to a real firearm.  The Mequon Police Department would like to caution students who think this game is intended to be innocent and fun, that issues could arise if the game is observed by an unknowing citizen. If any residents notice any concerning behavior, please do not hesitate to contact the Mequon Police Department at (262) 242-3500.
