5ESSENTIALS PARENT SURVEY
Dear Maine East Parents & Caregivers,

Every year, parents, students, and teachers in schools across the state take the 5Essentials Survey to help describe where schools are successful and where they can improve. Your feedback as parents/guardians is crucial to our future so we would appreciate your time in filling out this brief survey. The survey is open now and closes March 11, 2022, and requires a 20% parent participation rate in order for us to receive data. Currently, we have a 9% participation rate. Additionally, most teachers have already completed the survey and Maine East students completed the survey on February 2 in Advisory.

The link to take the parent survey:

  • When you click the link above, you will be prompted to enter your email, county (Cook), and school (Maine East High School).

Maine East administrators use this information to look at organizational health and change. We receive only aggregated data, not individual responses. This data also impacts some local housing and real estate ratings for schools, so please be aware that this might not be the place for overly critical comments or individual issues. Those are still always best dealt with at the individual teacher, coach, or administrator level.
Thank you in advance for your participation and for the opportunity to serve you and your students.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mike Pressler, Principal

The high school students prepare the lessons for the children daily, all of which focus on the preparatory skills needed for the preschool children to be successful in kindergarten. They also complete observations to gain a better sense of the preschool children's development and educational needs.
