Dear Prince Families:

With twenty-seven school days remaining THIS school year, we have been hard at work the past several weeks making modifications to our administrative leadership team for NEXT school year.

To summarize the details below, there are twelve members of our school’s leadership team and three of those assignments are changing. Of the three, two are being filled by internal candidates, and one will be a new hire. These changes follow weeks of networking, interviews, and prayer to seek God’s agenda for our school.

Each position change and new hire is being filled by a career Christian educator who understands our school’s covenant model and possesses the gifts, skills, passion, and drive necessary to continue to move Prince forward for the next three to five years. Please feel free to email any or all these school leaders to congratulate them on their new assignments.
Academic Dean

Mr. Kendall Eley, Ed.S. (outgoing)
Mr. Eley has faithfully filled two positions for several years: academic dean and director of technology. The growth of the campus and subsequent demands necessitates a full-time director of technology. Mr. Eley will assume this new role starting in June and will assist with the transition of the incoming academic dean.

Mrs. Jennifer Williams, Ed.S. (incoming)
Mrs. Williams is well credentialed with an education specialist degree in educational leadership, has over twenty years of classroom teaching experience, and is well respected by her peers. Before joining our faculty two years ago, Mrs. Williams was under instruction at Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy in McDonough to become an academic dean. This position search included candidates with doctorates, a former head of school, and other seasoned educators. I am confident she is the best choice from both a leadership and a technical perspective to advance our academic programming. (Email: jwilliams@princeave.org)
High School Principal

Mr. Daniel Head, M.Ed. (outgoing)
Mr. Head will move from the position of high school principal to middle school principal. The opening of our new middle school building this fall necessitates a seasoned administrator who knows our school’s culture, students, and faculty to provide stable and effective leadership. Mr. Head previously served as our middle school principal from 2015 to 2019, and I am indebted to him for accepting this position change which will strengthen our school.

Mr. Dan Knudsen, Ed.S. (incoming). Following multiple interviews with highly qualified candidates, Mr. Dan Knudsen has been hired as our new high school principal. Dan brings strong leadership, broad experience, and additional skills to our team. Mr. Knudsen has taught Bible and served as an administrator in both public and Christian schools. Most recently, he was the high school principal at Providence Christian Academy in Lilburn.

Middle School Principal

Mr. Jesse Owens, M.Ed. (outgoing)
For two years, Mr. Owens has communicated to me his desire to serve in the high school academic advising office to utilize the counseling skills God has gifted him with. Mr. Owens will be working in the high school office as a guidance counselor. The combination of his administrative efficiency and pastoral temperament will strengthen the service provided to our students and the high school office’s administrative team.
Regardless of whether an organization is non-profit or for-profit, winning organizations seek and retain exceptional people; “average” is NOT acceptable. Average leadership, average teachers, average discipleship training, and average fine arts and athletic programs produce average schools. The educational boneyard is filled with former “average” Christian schools. During this period of controlled growth, we want to bring glory to God by providing exceptional programming and continue to build strong interpersonal relationships with our students, which requires exceptional faculty and staff who are also serving in positions they are gifted and called to serve in.

I believe God has continued to bless us as a family-school community through our genuine efforts to glorify Him. I also believe that change is the mother of progress and that moderate, incremental change is necessary to advance a school like Prince. As this leadership team begins to work together, I am confident the whole will be stronger than the sum of its individual parts as we strive to be the best Christian covenant school in Georgia.
