Dear Alumni,
One of the greatest honors I have as dean is the opportunity to speak with alumni, students, parents and friends about the ways that Drexel Engineering has helped shaped their lives. Perhaps it was a meaningful co-op that connected a personal passion with a professional goal, maybe a longtime professor helped unlock a new academic interest, or a fellow alum’s generosity may have created an opportunity to pursue specialized research. No matter the case, it seems that wherever I go, people are ready to share deeply personal stories about the impact of Drexel on their lives.
The impact of an engineering education was especially evident as we celebrated National Engineers Week from February 21 through 26. Our calendar was chock full of events where professors, industry leaders, students and alumni share stories, discuss research and demonstrate the fascinating aspects of their specialties. I left the week feeling invigorated by the ways that our students and faculty are working to change the world. I encourage you to take a look at our recap of the week, and I look forward to planning more opportunities for our community to gather together in person. Until then, I wish you all the best.
