Your librarian is the library's subject specialist for your college or program and is your first point of contact for research support. Librarians are available through email, phone, virtually, or in person and can provide: 


  • In-depth research assistance and strategies for staying current in your field
  • Help in selecting and using citation managers to organize your research and references
  • Guidance on managing your professional research identity, publishing venues, scholarly metrics, and copyright

National Coming Out Day


Join us in celebrating National Coming Out Day by attending a professional development opportunity with guest speaker, Yosimar Reyes. Yosimar is a nationally acclaimed Poet and Public Speaker, and has toured and presented at university campuses across the United States.


There will be two sessions on October 11th: 


12:00pm – 1:00pm Location: GCB 111 


2:30pm – 3:30pm Location: OSC 104 


GradCO Professional Development Series


GradCO is a collaboration of graduate degree-granting universities across Colorado. It is designed to deliver a variety of high-quality professional development workshops, information sessions, and trainings to our graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Scholarship and Grant Opportunities

Career Enhancement Fellowship


The Career Enhancement Fellows are exceptional scholars whose work broadens the range of perspectives and understandings offered on college campuses and creates opportunities for crucial new scholarly voices to be heard in disciplines and institutions. Fellows are outstanding junior faculty committed to campus diversity and innovative research in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. Through the program, Fellows build a diverse academic community and system of support as they pursue careers as university faculty and administrators. 

  • English, music, foreign language majors are encouraged to apply. 


Award: $35,000

 

Deadline: October 20, 2023 5:00 p.m. ET

Graduate Fellowships for STEM Diversity (GFSD)


GFSD helps talented and diverse scientists and engineers achieve their graduate education by providing fellowships and internships. 

  • Engineering and Chemistry are encouraged to apply  


Award: $27,000 annually

Winston Churchill Foundation Scholarships


The Winston Churchill Foundation Scholarship selects scholars based on academic and research achievement. We then seek to provide accomplished scientists, mathematicians, and engineers with the tools to maximize their future impact. 

  • Biochemistry, chemistry, and engineering majors are encouraged to apply. 


Award: up to $65,000  


Deadline: November 1, 2023, at 5 pm ET

Department of National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship Program


National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship Program is a competitive fellowship that is awarded to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and U.S. dual citizens who intend to pursue a Doctoral degree aligned to the DoD services Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs) in research and development at a U.S. institution of their choice. 

  • Engineering, Chemistry, Cybersecurity, and Biosciences majors are encouraged to apply.  


Award: $43,000 annually

The Science, Mathematics & Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program


The SMART Scholarship builds future leaders in 24 STEM disciplines and is the largest education and workforce development initiative under the Department of Defense STEM Program. Scholarship recipients receive hands-on experience at one of over 200 Department of Defense facilities during their internships and apply this knowledge as early career professionals. 

  • Chemistry, Engineering, Biosciences are encouraged to apply.  


Award: $30,000+  


Deadline: December 1 at 5:00 p.m. EST

Wenner-Gren Dissertation Fieldwork Grant


This grant program funds doctoral or thesis research that advances anthropological knowledge. Our goal is to support vibrant and significant work that furthers our understanding of what it means to be human. There is no preference for any methodology, research location, topic, or subfield. The Foundation particularly welcomes proposals that integrate two or more subfields and pioneer new approaches and ideas. 

  • Doctoral students encouraged to apply  


Award: $25,000
